Personal Guide 2007
Dear Members and Friends:
This day is a gift from God.
As Christians, how do we life it to the fullest? How will this day enrich our
life? Scripture teaches that it is a matter of attitude:
You
were taught to put off your old self . . . to be made new in the attitude of your
minds. Eph. 4:22-24
Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Phil 2:5
Our attitude shapes the
day: Scripture also teaches us how
to nurture a joyful attitude to know the rich blessings of our faith:
Get
rid of all bitterness. Be kind and compassionate . . . forgiving each other, just
as in Christ God forgave you. Eph
4:31-32
The joy of attitude: Many things are beyond our control, but our attitude
is within our own power and determines the joy we derive from God's gifts of
time, talent, and resources.
Even our giving is a matter
of attitude. To find the joy in giving, give cheerfully: For God loves a
cheerful giver. 2 Cor 9:7

If the willingness
is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has. 2 Cor 8:12

1. A Forward Step
Find
your present weekly or monthly offering. If possible, give the Suggested
Offering to help keep up and sustain our church over the next year. With
bite-sized steps we can all grow in God's service.
If
your present giving is not show, combine amounts: If you give $22, find $20
& $2 under Present Offering & add suggested Offerings together
($24.20).
